Google marketing for a small business that wants phone calls, not reports

A client in Kraków searches Google for a service and calls one of three businesses on the map or at the top of the results. I help a business get into those three: I tidy up the Google Business Profile, set up ads that pay for phone calls and fix the website so Google understands it. I did all of this for my own site, roland4foto.com, first.

Google Business Profile

The profile decides whether you appear on the map. I set the right primary and secondary categories, services, service area, opening hours and photos of the real business, plus a simple way to collect reviews after each finished job. The roland4foto profile has 65 reviews with an average of 5.0, collected this way over the years. The name stays the real business name: adding keywords breaks Google's rules and sometimes ends with a suspended profile.

Search engine optimisation (SEO)

A separate page for each service, titles and descriptions that answer what people type, structured data, a sitemap and Search Console. Plus a blog with answers to customer questions that publishes itself from a queue. On roland4foto.com, after a month of this work, Google has 220 of the 221 sitemap addresses in its index.

Website speed

A slow website loses customers before it loads. My websites score 100 in Google PageSpeed on mobile and desktop, and I can speed up an existing site without rebuilding it.

Visibility in ChatGPT and other assistants

More and more people ask an AI assistant about a business instead of a search engine. Assistants take their information from search engines and from what others write about the business, so the same things help as in Google, plus a consistent business description in directories and profiles. Every month I check whether and how the assistants recommend your business.

Questions and answers

How much does Google marketing cost?

It depends on whether we start with the Business Profile, ads or the website, and on how much competition you have locally. You pay the ad budget directly to Google. Tell me what you do and where your customers come from, and you will get a quote within 2 working days.

How soon will I see results?

Ads work from day one. The Business Profile and SEO usually need a few weeks to a few months, depending on the competition. That is why with a new business we often start with ads while the profile and the website grow in the background.

Do you promise first place in Google?

No, because nobody can honestly promise that. What I can show you is what I changed and how impressions and calls grow in Search Console and in the Business Profile statistics.

Do I need a new website?

Not always. Often it is enough to improve the current one: speed it up, add service pages and tidy up the descriptions for Google.
