roland4foto.com: a site that scores 100 in PageSpeed and a back office that issues contracts

roland4foto.com is the website of my photography business, built from scratch in custom PHP. In September 2026 it scored 80 in Google PageSpeed on mobile, and 100 a few days later. Behind the site runs a back office with contracts, questionnaires, a job calendar and a client panel.

The problem

I ran jobs from memory, over the phone and Messenger. The site looked good on a desktop but loaded slowly on a phone: 80 points in PageSpeed, the largest element on screen after 5 seconds, 190 KB of fonts and text that jumped while the page loaded.

What I did

  • A site in custom PHP and MySQL, in six languages. On top of that a print shop and a blog that publishes itself from a queue.
  • A back office with clients and jobs: 12 contract templates generated with one click, 7 pre-job questionnaires, terms of service with version history, a client panel with contract acceptance and an ICS calendar.
  • Speed on mobile: the browser fetches the first-screen photo first, the cookie notice shows up at once, fonts weigh 27 KB instead of 190 KB, and photos decode without freezing the phone.
  • Order in Google, the same work as in my Google marketing service: sitemap, structured data, Search Console and a separate page for every service.

The result

  • 100 points in Google PageSpeed on mobile and desktop (18 September 2026; 80 on mobile before). On 27 October 2026 the site still scores 99–100 on mobile.
  • 221 of 221 URLs from the sitemap indexed by Google (Search Console, 28 October 2026).
  • 12 contract templates and 7 questionnaires in the back office: a contract is built from the client’s data with one click, and the client accepts it in their own panel.
  • Layout shift while loading (CLS) dropped from 0.192, almost twice Google’s limit, to a level PageSpeed counts as good.

Why I show my own business

It is my own company, so I can show every number and the back office from the inside without asking anyone for permission. I build the same things for clients: business systems with contracts and a client panel, and hand-coded websites.

Technology

Custom PHP and MySQL, no off-the-shelf system. Hosting: Hostinger. Site: roland4foto.com.
