A website for a guesthouse, rental or tour operator

Booking portals take a commission on every night. Your own site with a calendar and booking gives guests a second channel, cheaper for you, and shows the place as it really is. I built the site of the Wypoczynek Mazury lakeside resort this way.

What the site must do

  • Show the place with photos and a drone film: the building, the rooms, the surroundings.
  • Give seasonal prices and what is included, without hidden extras.
  • Show free dates and let guests book with a deposit.
  • Work in English and Polish, and in German if your guests come from there.

What I can build in

  • Availability calendar and online booking with a deposit through online payments, confirmation and terms.
  • Sync with portals: dates taken on Booking or Airbnb block on your site and the other way round (iCal).
  • Seasonal price list from a panel: high season, low season, weekends, extras, changed without a developer.
  • Equipment and tour bookings: bikes, kayaks, guided tours, by the hour or day.
  • Photos and a drone film of the whole place and its surroundings, shot by me.
  • Language versions with separate addresses for each language.

Questions and answers

Can a booking on my site block dates on Booking.com?

Yes, through iCal calendar exchange: a booking in one place blocks the date in the other. I set it up at launch.

Will guests book directly?

Returning guests and those who found you on Google will, especially when the site price is lower by the portal’s commission. Portals stay as a source of new guests.

Do you shoot photos and drone footage?

Yes, that is my other profession. One day on site gives material for the website, the Google profile and social media for the whole season.
